Well, Madden hasn't always lived up to our expectations but this year it may just turn around.
Gameplay : 6/10
Madden has improved in this area and is taking it's small steps to a good system. The fixed warped tackling is still slightly noticeable on replays which is an issue. They also cut corners with ball warping and you can slam into a defender who is 200 lbs heavier but it doesn't make a single difference. The only real way to solve these problems once and for all is to include a realistic physics engine. Overall not bad but not great.
Game Modes : 7/10
Franchise mode has improved tremendously. All of the new features are great and Josh Looman has done an amazing job, but it still needs more. Training Camp and a Realistic Draft Presentation is needed. Superstar mode has been improved but needs heaps and bounds more features before it can be considered a good mode. Practice is small but fun and mini games is a feature I like. It needs work but it's getting there.
Online : 6/10
Hmm... The cheesers, nano blitzers, rocket catchers, game quitters finally have stopped for me..... There is now Online Communites if you are known has cheesing BANG you get booted and I move on to the next sim player. Head TO Head will never be fixed. There is just to many cheesers to handle for it to stop. Online Franchise is terrible without Leauge Manager it needs lots of work, Communties help a lot though. Madden Ultimate Team is nice but I personally don't love it. Overall not bad but just average.
Final Thoughts
Overall Madden 12 is worth buying, is it best the best football game since NFL2k5. It needs a lot of work before it is even considered to be the best sports game with NBA2k and FIFA competing with it.
